Main Manifestations |
Abrupt onset of pain occurs like an electric shock. The pain in cutting, burning and intolerable, but transient and paroxysmal. Each attack lasts a few seconds or one to two minutes. It may occur by the local spasm, lacrimation , nasal discharge and salivation as well as the exterior symptoms and string-taut, tense pulse. |
Besides the characters of pain in last type, it combines with irritability, hot temper, thirst, constipation, yellow, dry tongue coating and string-taut rapid pulse.

Insidions pain, emaciation, malar flush, soreness in the lumbar region, lassitude, pain aggravated by fatigue, thready, rapid pulse, red tongue with little coating. |

Treatment

The points are selected from the local area and the distal and along the course of the affected meridians, and punctured by reduing manipulation with filiform needles combining with continuous rotation. |
